Epoxy Care Instructions
Epoxy Resin Care Instructions
Your Trayz n' Beyond piece is handcrafted with premium epoxy resin and finished to a high-gloss shine. With proper care, it will maintain its beauty for years to come.
✦ Daily Cleaning
- Wipe down with a soft, damp cloth or microfiber towel after each use.
- For sticky residue, use a small amount of mild dish soap diluted in warm water.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately — do not allow water to pool on the surface.
- Do not use abrasive sponges, steel wool, or scrubbing pads — these will scratch the finish.
✦ What to Avoid
- Harsh chemicals: Avoid bleach, acetone, rubbing alcohol, and ammonia-based cleaners (e.g., Windex). These can cloud or yellow the resin surface.
- Extreme heat: Do not place hot pots, pans, or open flames directly on your piece. Epoxy resin can warp or discolor above 150°F (65°C). Always use a trivet or heat pad.
- Prolonged UV exposure: Extended direct sunlight can cause yellowing over time. Display your piece away from windows with intense sun exposure, or use UV-protective window film.
- Sharp objects: Avoid cutting directly on the surface. Use a cutting board to prevent scratches.
- Dishwasher: Never place your epoxy piece in the dishwasher. The heat and harsh detergents will damage the finish and may cause delamination.
✦ Coasters
- Always use your coasters under glasses, bottles, and cans to protect both the coaster and your furniture.
- Wipe dry after each use to prevent moisture buildup under the coaster holder.
- Avoid leaving wet coasters stacked — allow them to air dry before returning to the holder.
✦ Flight Trays
- Your flight tray is designed for bar use — it can handle condensation from glasses, but wipe it down regularly.
- Do not submerge in water or soak.
- For best results, hand wash only with mild soap and dry immediately.
✦ Lamp Bases
- Keep the USB LED connection dry at all times.
- Wipe the resin base with a dry or slightly damp cloth only.
- Do not immerse in water.
- If using the RGB remote LED, store the remote in a dry location away from moisture.
✦ Restoring the Shine
Over time, your piece may develop minor surface scratches from regular use. To restore the glossy finish:
- Apply a small amount of plastic polish (such as Novus Plastic Polish #2) with a soft cloth using gentle circular motions.
- Buff with a clean microfiber cloth until the shine is restored.
- For deeper scratches, contact us — we may be able to advise on professional refinishing options.
✦ Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- If stacking pieces, place a soft cloth or felt pad between them to prevent scratching.
- Avoid storing in areas with extreme temperature fluctuations (e.g., garages, car trunks).
