The Basics
What is epoxy resin?
Epoxy resin is a two-part liquid polymer — a resin and a hardener — that chemically bond when mixed together. Once cured, it creates a hard, glossy, durable surface that's waterproof and UV-resistant (when properly formulated).
Is epoxy resin safe?
When handled correctly, yes. Always work in a well-ventilated space, wear nitrile gloves, and avoid skin contact with uncured resin. Once fully cured, epoxy resin is non-toxic and food-safe (depending on the formulation used).
How long does epoxy resin take to cure?
It depends on the formula. Most epoxy resins reach a "demold" stage in 24–48 hours, but full cure (maximum hardness) takes 5–7 days. We let every Trayz N' Beyond piece cure fully before it ships.
Is cured epoxy resin waterproof?
Yes — cured epoxy resin is waterproof and moisture-resistant, making it ideal for coasters, trays, and decorative surfaces.
About Our Products
What makes Trayz N' Beyond pieces different?
Every piece is handcrafted in small batches in Knoxville, TN. We use premium pigments, glitters, and mica powders to create one-of-a-kind color combinations. No two pieces are exactly alike.
Can I customize the colors?
Yes! Most of our pieces offer a choice of mica color and glitter color at checkout. If you have a specific vision, reach out before ordering and we'll do our best to accommodate. Browse the Flight Tray Set to see available options.
Are your products food-safe?
Our flight trays and coasters are decorative and not intended for direct food contact. They're perfect for serving drinks, displaying items, or gifting — but we don't recommend placing unwrapped food directly on the resin surface.
Do your products come in different sizes?
Our flight trays are 13" × 3", coasters are 3.5" round, lamp bases are 3" round, and coaster holders are 4" round. Check individual product listings for full specs.
Care & Maintenance
How do I clean my epoxy resin piece?
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, harsh chemicals, and prolonged soaking. For coasters and trays, a gentle dish soap is fine — just dry promptly.
Will my piece scratch or yellow over time?
High-quality epoxy resin is scratch-resistant but not scratch-proof. Avoid dragging sharp or rough objects across the surface. UV-stable formulas (like what we use) resist yellowing significantly better than standard resins.
Can I put hot items on my tray or coaster?
We recommend avoiding direct contact with very hot items (e.g., a pot straight off the stove). Warm mugs and glasses are fine. Prolonged heat exposure can soften or cloud the resin surface.
Can I use my piece outdoors?
Our pieces are designed for indoor use. While cured epoxy is moisture-resistant, extended UV exposure and temperature swings can affect the finish over time.

How long does it take to make my order?
Each piece is made to order. Please allow 5–10 business days for production before your order ships. You'll receive a tracking notification once it's on its way.
Do you offer custom or bulk orders?

What if my order arrives damaged?
We package every order carefully, but if something arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and we'll make it right.
