How to Care for Your Epoxy Resin Pieces
Your handcrafted epoxy resin piece is built to last — but like any premium material, it rewards a little care. Follow these simple guidelines to keep your Trayz n’ Beyond pieces looking as stunning as the day they arrived.
Cleaning
Epoxy resin is non-porous and easy to clean. For everyday cleaning, simply wipe your piece down with a soft, damp cloth. For spills, clean promptly with mild soap and warm water, then dry thoroughly.
Avoid:
- Abrasive scrubbers or steel wool — these will scratch the surface
- Harsh chemical cleaners, bleach, or acetone
- Soaking in water for extended periods
- Dishwashers — always hand wash
Heat & Sun Exposure
Epoxy resin can yellow or warp with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or high heat. Keep your pieces out of direct sunlight when not in use, and avoid placing hot items directly on the surface. Use coasters under warm glasses — which, conveniently, we also make. 😊
Scratches & Surface Care
Minor surface scratches can often be buffed out with a small amount of automotive polish or a resin-safe polishing compound applied with a soft cloth. For deeper scratches, contact us — we’re always happy to advise.
Storage
When storing your pieces, wrap them in a soft cloth or place them in a padded box to prevent scratching. Avoid stacking heavy items on top of your tray.
Long-Term Beauty
With proper care, your epoxy resin piece will maintain its high-gloss finish and vibrant color for years to come. These aren’t disposable accessories — they’re heirlooms in the making, designed to be passed down and admired for generations.
